What is National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission launched by PM?

PM Narendra Modi launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol on Saturday. It aims to eradicate anaemia by 2047. This will be implemented in 278 districts of 17 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
