Passive euthanasia is the withdrawal of medical treatment with an intention to hasten the death of terminally-ill patients, like switching off life-support machines or disconnecting feeding tube. Further, a living will is a written document, wherein patients can give instructions in advance about the treatment to be administered to them when they are terminally-ill or unable to express consent.
