What is pension-related cyber scam in which a retired police officer lost ₹2.40 lakh?

In a pension-related cyber scam, fraudsters call people claiming that their pension life certificate needs an urgent update. They then send a WhatsApp link to download a fake government app and ask for Aadhaar details and OTPs, gaining access to his bank account and transferring the money. Recently, a retired police officer lost ₹2.40 lakh in this pension-related cyber scam.
