Sympathetic pregnancy, also called couvade syndrome, is a condition where a man experiences physical and emotional symptoms similar to those of his pregnant partner. He may experience symptoms like weight gain, indigestion and headache, according to the US' NIH. The syndrome is typically limited to a nonpregnant partner, and there's no evidence to suggest that other family members experience it.
