'Sandwich generation' is a term used to describe middle-aged people who are taking care of their ageing parents along with their growing children. As per a 2007 survey by the American Psychological Association, such people often feel "more stress" than any other age group. The survey stated that more than men, women reported experiencing extreme stress.
