India will host first-ever Global Big Cat Summit this year, marking a major milestone in India's growing leadership in wildlife conservation. Leaders from 95 range nations will deliberate on collective strategies for conservation at the summit. In 2024, India launched International Big Cat Alliance which covers conservation of tigers, lions, leopards, snow leopards, cheetahs, jaguars and pumas.
