What is the cost that Indians aren't asked to pay when buying cooking LPG cylinder?
A 14.2-kg domestic cooking LPG cylinder in Delhi now costs ₹942 after the government hiked prices by ₹29/cylinder. However, as the war in West Asia disrupts prices, the cylinder's international price has risen to ₹1,600, and consumers are therefore not asked to pay an extra ₹700/cylinder. This is because the government has absorbed a significant proportion of the price hike.
