What is the difference between Freestyle & Greco-Roman wrestling?
Wrestling is one of the oldest sports in the Olympics and is also part of the Asian Games 2026. The key difference between Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling is the grappling holds allowed. While Greco-Roman wrestlers can only hold opponents above the waist, Freestyle wrestlers can attack any part of the body and use their legs or arms to execute holds.
