NASA launched the ₹38,150-crore Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope aboard a SpaceX rocket from Florida on Sunday. Named after NASA's first chief astronomer, the telescope combines a large field of view with crisp infrared vision. It is designed to investigate cosmic enigmas such as dark energy and dark matter, while also testing gravity at vast scales and searching for exoplanets.
