What is the Simla Agreement signed between India & Pakistan in 1972?
In the aftermath of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh, India's PM Indira Gandhi and Pakistan's President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto signed a treaty in Simla to put an end to conflict and promote friendly relationship. Both countries had agreed to respect each other's territorial integrity and not interfere in each other's internal matters.
