The government's first high-level meeting was Cabinet Committee on Security's (CCS) meeting on April 23, a day after the Pahalgam terror attack. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh then met Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan on April 27, following which a security meeting was held at PM Narendra Modi's residence, where he met Home Minister Amit Shah on April 29.
