What is US' 'Operation Hard Ball' against India-based criminal gangs?

The US' 'Operation Hard Ball' has been launched against three India-based transnational organised crime groups, including Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. The gangs have been involved in racketeering, targeted killings, shootings, extortion, the trafficking of bulk quantities of narcotics, the US Justice Department said. US blamed Bishnoi for Khalistani separatist Hardeep Nijjar's murder.
