What items continue to remain under the 28% GST bracket?

The GST Council has retained the tax rate of 28% on luxury goods like washing machines, air conditioners, automobiles and refrigerators. The council had reduced the number of items placed in the maximum GST bracket of 28% to 50, from the 227 earlier. Items like tobacco, cigarettes, cement and paints continue to remain in the 28% slab.
