What's the story of building ₹8,900 crore worth Vizhinjam port?

An idea that germinated in 1991 for developing Vizhinjam in Kerala as a deep-sea port wasn’t materialised until 2015, when the Government of Kerala under the aegis of the Government of India inked the deal with Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd (APSEZ) which brought this dream into reality.
