Bank lockers provide storage facilities but don't insure valuables against all risks, a Moneycontrol report said. As per RBI, in cases of fire, burglary or building collapse due to bank negligence, compensation can be upto 100 times the annual locker rent. The report recommends updating nominations after marriage or major life changes to avoid delays for families in difficult times.
