What unusual steps has ECI taken ahead of West Bengal polls?

The ECI has banned motorcycles from 6 pm to 6 am starting two days before polling in West Bengal, i.e., April 23 and 29, with limited exceptions. Liquor sales are reportedly banned 96 hours before polling, longer than the usual 48. Additionally, large numbers of Central government staff have been deployed as micro-observers to monitor polling processes.
