In an internal memo to employees, Meta confirmed its plan to fire 8,000 employees in a single day, adding that it'll offer a "generous severance package". It said the package will include 16 weeks of base pay plus two weeks for every year of employment. Meta will also cover health care coverage for employees and their families for 18 months.
