What's the 1st-in-US law that California enacted to protect kids' online privacy?

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Thursday signed a first-of-its-kind bill in the US that aims to protect "the wellbeing, data, and privacy of children using online platforms". The California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act bans companies from using a child's personal information. It also prohibits the collection, sale or retention of a child's geolocation and profiling a child by default.
