WhatsApp & Meta to comply with data sharing rules after SC's 'Comply or quit India' warning

Meta and WhatsApp have stepped back and agreed to comply with India's data sharing policy by March 16 after the Supreme Court's 'take-it-or-leave-it' warning to them. The companies had challenged NCLAT's order, which called for the enforcement of CCI's directions to implement a user-consent-based data sharing framework. The court had asked Meta to leave India if it couldn't follow rules.
