WhatsApp bans over 23 lakh bad accounts in India in October

WhatsApp banned more than 23 lakh bad accounts from India in October 2022, the Meta-owned company said in its 'User Safety Report' on Wednesday. As per the report, 8,11,000 of these accounts were proactively banned, before any reports from users. WhatsApp said it received 701 complaint reports in October and it took remedial action in 34 cases.
