Facebook-owned messaging service WhatsApp went down for more than two hours on Wednesday affecting users worldwide, including India, Canada, Brazil and the US. "We have now fixed the issue and apologise for the inconvenience," said WhatsApp, once the service was restored. However, WhatsApp did not confirm the reason for the outage.
