WhatsApp may soon answer unknown calls and ask why they’re calling

WhatsApp is developing an Android feature that can automatically answer calls from unknown numbers and ask callers why they are calling, WABetaInfo reported. The feature will offer three options: allow all calls, silence unknown callers or screen them automatically. In the third mode, WhatsApp will create a private transcript of the caller's response, helping users decide whether to answer.
