WhatsApp post offering free laptops to students is fake: Govt

The government's PIB Fact Check unit has warned people against a WhatsApp message offering free laptops to students. The message asks people to click on a link to register for 'Students Laptop Scheme 2024' and claims over 9,60,000 students will get free laptops this year. "Beware. This is a scam to dupe you," PIB Fact Check stated.
