WhatsApp surpasses Cred in UPI transactions; PhonePe stays on top

WhatsApp overtook CRED in monthly UPI transaction volume for the first time, processing over 150.48 million transactions in June. PhonePe remained India's largest UPI platform, recording 10.48 billion transactions worth ₹14.19 lakh crore during the month, followed by Google Pay and Paytm. The latest figures highlight growing competition in India's digital payments ecosystem.
