When does bank account become dormant & how can one reactivate it?

If there is no customer-initiated activity in a bank account for two years, banks classify such accounts as dormant. To reactivate the account, one needs to visit the home branch and update KYC with Aadhaar, PAN, and passport-size photograph. Banks may ask for a small deposit/withdrawal to show activity, after which the account is reactivated in a few days.
