Amid MI batter Suryakumar Yadav's lean patch in IPL 2026, MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene backed him, saying, "Sometimes when things are not going your way it doesn't fall in place." He noted Suryakumar was unlucky with a good shot finding a fielder. Jayawardene added, "If he gets a few scores together I think he'll find that rhythm."
