Which ancient festivals around the world are similar to Chhath Puja?

Chhath Puja shares similarities with ancient Sun-worship traditions worldwide, such as Inti Raymi, celebrated during the winter solstice in the 15th-century Inca Empire of Peru to honour Inti, the Sun God. China's Dongzhi Festival also has roots in solar traditions. The Maya and Aztec civilisations of Central America placed the Sun at the centre of their cosmology and daily life.
