As per the state/UT-wise education ranking released in the School Education Development Index (SEDI) 2025-26, Chandigarh recorded the highest overall score among all states and UTs. Kerala and Puducherry secured second and third rank, respectively. They were followed by Goa, Delhi, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Haryana.
