Amravati and Wardha in Maharashtra recorded the highest maximum temperatures in India at 46.0°C each on Saturday, according to IMD data. Akola followed at 45.4°C, while Bramhapuri and Yavatmal recorded 45.2°C each. Adilabad in Telangana and Banda in Uttar Pradesh logged 44.8°C. Naugaon, Jhansi and Khandwa also reported temperatures above 44°C.
