Regions in India are divided into four seismic zones (Zone II, III, IV and V) for earthquakes, with Zone V being seismically the most active region and Zone II being the least. As per government, major cities under Zone V include Bhuj, Guwahati, Imphal, Port Blair, Srinagar among others. While Zone IV cities include Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Patna among others.
