Damascus in Syria and Tripoli in Libya continue to be the least comfortable cities in the world to live in, according to the EIU's Global Liveability Index 2024. Years of civil war have impacted their economies and led to decline in stability, report said. Other least liveable cities are Algiers (Algeria), Lagos (Nigeria), Karachi (Pakistan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), and Harare (Zimbabwe).
