Which cities are the most affordable for buying homes in India?

Ahmedabad is the most affordable major Indian city to buy a house, where residents need to allocate just 18% of household income for home loan EMIs, according to Knight Frank India's report. Kolkata and Pune, both at 22%, rank second, followed by Chennai (23%), Bengaluru (27%) and Delhi-NCR (28%). The number stands at 30% and 47% for Hyderabad and Mumbai.
