Which equity fund category gave highest returns over 1, 3 and 5 years?

Mid-cap mutual funds delivered the highest average returns among diversified equity fund categories over the last one, three and five years at 4.04%, 17.98% and 15.77%, respectively, according to Value Research. Small-cap funds ranked second across all three periods, while large-cap and ELSS funds posted the weakest one-year returns. Multi-cap funds delivered 13.36% returns over five years.
