Kolkata emerged as India's most congested city in 2024 with time lost per person per year at rush hours being 110 hours, according to TomTom Traffic Index. Bengaluru ranked second in India with 117 hours lost during peak hours, followed by Pune (108 hours), Hyderabad (85 hours) and Chennai (94 hours). Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Ernakulam ranked sixth, seventh and eighth.
