Which Indian states have the highest number of national parks?

Madhya Pradesh has highest number of national parks at 11, as per Wildlife Institute of India. Assam has seven such parks, whereas Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and Andaman & Nicobar have six each. Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu have five national parks. Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Goa, and Bihar have only one national park each.
