India's 16-year-old chess player Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa became the third Indian Grandmaster to defeat world number one Magnus Carlsen after defeating him in 39 moves at the Airthings Masters, a 16-player online rapid tournament. The other two Indians to defeat Carlsen in official tournament matches are Viswanathan Anand and Pentala Harikrishna. Carlsen has been world number one since July 2011.
