Which states in India have the highest unemployment rate and which have the lowest?
As per the latest data released by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), Haryana (37.3%) has the highest unemployment rate among Indian states and UTs, followed by Jammu and Kashmir (32.8%), Rajasthan (31.4%) and Jharkhand (17.3%). Chhattisgarh has the lowest unemployment rate (0.4%), while Meghalaya and Maharashtra have unemployment rates of 2% and 2.2%, respectively.
