Which states reported the highest number of rape cases in 2022?

At least 31,516 rape cases were reported in India in 2022, as per National Crime Records Bureau's 'Crime in India 2022' report. Rajasthan reported the highest number of rape cases at 5,399, followed by 3,690 rape cases in Uttar Pradesh, 3,029 in Madhya Pradesh, 2,904 in Maharashtra and 1,787 in Haryana. Delhi reported 1,212 rape cases, highest among Union Territories.
