Which states reported the highest number of rape cases in 2024?

At least 29,536 rape cases were reported in India in 2024, as per the NCRB's Crime in India 2024 report. Rajasthan reported the highest number of rape cases at 4,871, followed by 3,209 rape cases in Uttar Pradesh, 3,091 in Maharashtra, 3,061 in Madhya Pradesh and 1,391 in Haryana. Delhi reported 1,058 rape cases, the highest among Union Territories.
