Tata Steel's Thachat Viswanath Narendran is in the running to lead the 158-year-old conglomerate after N Chandrasekaran's exit as Tata Sons Chairman, Bloomberg reported. CEOs of group companies like Tata Power's Praveer Sinha, Tata Motors PV's Shailesh Chandra and Tata Chemicals' R Mukundan are also in the fray. Tata patriarch Noel Tata's only son, 32-year-old Neville, has also drawn attention.
