Which were the hottest cities in India today?

The India Meteorological Department has released a list of nine cities that had the highest maximum temperatures on Monday. Kurnool with a maximum temperature of 42.2°C was the hottest, followed by Nandyal (42°C), Jeur (42°C), Malegaon (42°C), Asansol (41.7°C), Gulbarga (41.6°C), Solapur (41.5°C), Rajnandgaon (41.5°C) and Anantapur (41.4°C).
