UP's Banda was the hottest place in the country on Monday with the maximum temperature touching 47.6°C, the meteorological department said. At 46.6°C, Maharashtra's Amravati was the second-hottest place in the country, while Maharasthra's Wardha was at the third place with 46.5°C. Heatwave warning has been issued for Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha, Telangana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan for Tuesday.
