Bhutanese thought leader Karma Phuntsho, the Founder of the educational charity Loden Foundation, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, who became a doctor during the Vietnam War, and forest conservationist Farwiza Farhan are among the five awardees of the 2024 Ramon Magsaysay Awards. Studio Ghibli animation company's Co-founder Hayao Miyazaki and Thailand's Rural Doctors Movement are the other two awardees.
