JMM chief and CM Hemant Soren is contesting from Barhait Assembly constituency and his wife Kalpana Soren is contesting from Gandey. CM Hemant Soren's sister-in-law Sita Soren is contesting from the Jamtara constituency on BJP's ticket. BJP state chief Babulal Marandi is contesting from Dhanwar constituency.
