Who can be an EPF nominee and how can the nomination be changed?

Only legally defined family members, such as a spouse, children and dependent parents, can be nominated for the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF). If an EPF member does not have a family, they may nominate any person. To change a nomination, members can log in to the EPFO Member e-Sewa portal and add or update nominee details through the 'e-Nomination' option.
