WHO chief urges nations to lift Ebola travel restrictions

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has urged countries to reconsider border closures and travel bans imposed due to the Ebola outbreak in DR Congo and Uganda. He warned such measures hinder response efforts and reduce public trust. Over 1,000 suspected cases have been reported in DR Congo, while Uganda has confirmed nine infections.
