With the Congress-led UDF heading for a win in Kerala, three senior leaders have emerged as the primary contenders for the Chief Minister's post. They are Congress' national general secretary KC Venugopal, current Leader of Opposition in Assembly VD Satheesan and former state unit chief Ramesh Chennithala. Congress-led UDF is set to return to power in Kerala after 10 years.
