WHO doesn't see bubonic plague in China as high risk: Spokeswoman

An apparent outbreak of bubonic plague in China's Inner Mongolia region is being "well managed" and is not considered to represent a high risk, World Health Organization (WHO) spokeswoman Margaret Harris said. "We're looking at the case numbers in China...we're watching it, monitoring it carefully," she added. Harris further said the WHO was working in partnership with the Chinese authorities.
