The record for longest time spent in space in one go is held by late Russian cosmonaut Valeri Polyakov. He set the record by spending 437 consecutive days in the space. He orbited Earth 7,075 times and travelled over 30,07,65,472 km before landing safely on March 22, 1995. Sunita Williams will return to Earth after spending 286 days in space.
