Who is Abhijit Banerjee, JNU alumnus who won 2019 Nobel in Economics?

Indian-American economist Abhijit Banerjee, who was one among the winners of 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics, was born on February 21, 1961. Banerjee completed his BSc degree from Kolkata's Presidency University in 1981 before completing his MA in Economics at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1983. He was a consultant for Congress' NYAY programme.
